Joshua Cubista PHD(C)
Joshua is an experiential designer, facilitator, and strategist in the global social benefit and philanthropy sectors. Throughout his 20 year career in the field and in academia, Joshua has worked internationally with a focus on global education futures, systems leadership capacity building, and the development of national and international leadership and innovation networks. Joshua has held multiple executive roles such as chief strategist, executive director/CEO, dean, and board member bringing a keen understanding of project management, organizational dynamics, and leadership capacity building to his strategic consulting and advisory practice.
As a scholar-practitioner, Joshua holds a bachelor's degree from Prescott College, United States, in sustainable community development and integral psychology, a MSc from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, in strategic leadership towards sustainability, and is a PhD candidate at the University of Guelph, Canada, in the Social Practice and Transformational Change PhD program. As a scholar in residence at the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute, Joshua‘s research focuses on pathways toward global societal change and transformative community engaged scholarship.
As a global citizen Joshua has traveled, lived, and worked in 30+ countries including Japan, Canada, U.S.A, Europe, Mexico, China, and Kazakhstan, including Eco-villages and Human Potential Education centers around the world. He has designed and facilitated diverse projects, key insights of which can be found in multiple research reports written and co-authored by Joshua, such as:
